Public Speaking Club

Public speaking, being a crucial life skill and a core component of effective communication, is an important discipline in the modern curriculum. The Public Speaking Club is an initiative taken by our Institute to enhance students’ speaking abilities and communication confidence. The club helps boost students' self-assurance—an essential quality—so that they can express themselves freely and effectively.

The great advantage of establishing a Public Speaking Club is that it provides students with the opportunity to develop speaking skills in an engaging and supportive environment. It also serves as a platform where students can improve their articulation, confidence, and stage presence. The club encourages personal growth by helping students build their personalities, discover their voice, understand diverse perspectives, and refine their cultural and social awareness.

The Public Speaking Club organizes speaking-oriented activities at the college level once a month. These activities are practical and interactive. Different sessions are tailored to develop key areas such as speech delivery, body language, voice modulation, audience engagement, critical thinking, and persuasive techniques. Recognizing that many students struggle with communication skills, the club motivates them to speak both formally and informally in a relaxed and encouraging setting—away from the usual classroom pressure.

Additionally, the club fosters cooperation and collaboration between students and faculty members, creating a supportive learning community.

Objectives of the Public Speaking Club:

  • To create a strong interest in public speaking and communication skills among the student community.

  • To make students feel confident and at ease while speaking in public.

  • To provide a casual, pressure-free platform for students to practice and enhance their public speaking skills.

  • To eliminate the fear of public speaking and stage fright among students.

  • To improve students' vocabulary and language expression for effective public speaking.

  • To prepare students to be competent communicators in all career fields.
